La Guajira
La Guajira is a 3 day 2 nights trip
Day 1 Riohacha - Cabo de la Vela
Departure from Sierraventura Hostel and on the road to Riohacha, shopping and off to Jepira (Cabo de la Vela), a small Wayuu village, on arrival we will have lunch and relax before we head to El Punta de azucar and different beaches where we end up near the lighthouse located on Carpinteros Hill, where the Cape can be seen in all its splendor and sunset with a good drink!
Day 2 Cabo de la Vela - Punta Gallinas
Breakfast. In the morning and off we go to Punta Gallinas on the way we have some photo stops and on arrival a boat that will take us to Punta Gallinas. Upon arrival, we have a small relax moment and lunch. In the Afternoon a special tour is organized to the most northern point of South America, the dunes, and the mirrador. At arrival in the hostel dinner is served and games for those who are not sleepy yet!
Day 3 Punta Gallinas - Uribia - Riohacha - Taganga
After a breakfast, we begin our trip with a boat ride through the lagoon in order to make our way to Uribia the Capital of La Guajira. A shortstop with the visit of the center. We then find our way to Rioacha for lunch and visit of the market where the Wayuu make their famous mochilas hammocks and typical artisanal. On our way back to Taganga we make a stop in Palomino for a last swim and sunset if possible.
